騎士三巨頭LeBron James、Kyrie Irving和Kevin Love在7日成功合體，三人齊力發揮率隊以116比108擊敗籃網。
因右大腿拉傷而缺席3場比賽的Irving開賽似乎還未進入狀態，剛從食物中毒痊癒的Love也手感不佳，2人上半場22次出手僅命中5球，不過在James的帶領下，騎士半場便取得11分領先，之後也未給籃網任何機會。
總計James拿下全場最高36分，賽後他表示：「很明顯Irving和Love的感覺都有些生疏，因此我試著讓比賽進入屬於我們的節奏，並在上半場就取得雙位數領先，結果來看這方法是奏效的。」
Irving在決勝節找回手感，單節進帳16分幫助球隊保持領先，最後交出32分4助攻的成績，至於Love則拿下17分13籃板。
籃網以Bojan Bogdanovic攻下23分表現最佳，Trevor Booker有13分12籃板的雙十成績。
林書豪此役依舊因為大腿拉傷的關係高掛免戰牌，讓Spencer Dinwiddie獲得生涯第2次先發機會，最後Dinwiddie出賽18分鐘拿下7分5籃板。

紐約尼克26日聖誕大戰雖然敗給波士頓塞爾提克，賽前主將「甜瓜」Carmelo Anthony的善舉讓他成為一位真正贏家。
賽前，由Anthony的個人基金會The Carmelo Anthony Foundation與麥迪遜廣場花園的基金會Garden of Dreams Foundation、贊助車商Kia共同邀請一位球迷來看球，還送他一份大禮。
這位球迷名叫Jarrell Lara，年僅17歲，但他患有蘭格罕細胞組織球增生症（Langerhans Cell Histiocytosis），每100萬名成人只有1至2個案例的罕見疾病，會導致骨頭、皮膚病變，中樞神經也會受影響。
Anthony賽前邀請Lara與家人到停車場，在雙親見證下送給他一台Kia休旅車，他的母親感動地痛哭流涕，不斷向甜瓜致謝。
「這比運動本身重要太多了。」Anthony說：「讓一個家庭高興，讓他們美夢成真，給予他們一天的快樂。」
其實Kia是NBA官方贊助商，對於Anthony來說，送出這台休旅車並沒有損失，但這樣的心意與笑容，可不是每個人都有。
